This project involves the replacement of the shingled roof at 903 Guy Street, Cornwall, Ontario, a residential house that the City owns. The area of the roof is approximately 1800 square feet. The successful bidder will be required to remove and dispose of the currently installed shingles (included in the bid price) that are on the residence and replace with new 30 year, brown shingles. Roof drip edge (starter strip) shall be used on all sides of the roof. An ice shield membrane shall be installed on all outside edges of the roof, two rows wide with manufacturer’s recommended overlaps. Underlayment shall be installed under the shingles in the remainder of the roof and shall cover the entire roof. Two Maximum ventilators (model VMAX-301-12 brown) shall also be installed. There are vents and other projections through the roof that will require sealing (including, but not limited to, rubber sleeves (flanges). The contractor will be responsible to keep the area clean and ensure that nails are picked up.
