The Corporation of the City of Cornwall invites Quotation Submissions from qualified and experienced demolition contractors to demolish the structures and re-instate the property owned by the Corporation as described in the Quotation specifications and all pertinent Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) Regulations. The subject property for this Quotation is located at 304 Baldwin Avenue, Cornwall, Ontario formerly the location of Whittaker Brother’s Flower Shop. For the purpose of this quotation, the property shall be referred to as 304 Baldwin. Bidders are responsible to carefully examine the location and the site, and to review all information available on the City of Cornwall website at the address listed below. Information available on the website forms part of this quotation and includes; Hazardous Materials and Designated Substances Survey report, Geographical Information System (GIS) and Sewer Discharge by-law. https://cornwall.bidsandtenders.ca The intent is to have the successful Contractor commence the building demolition and site restoration works immediately after award of contract with all works being completed by December 31, 2018. Mandatory Site Visit A mandatory site visit has been organized during which pertinent questions regarding this quotation will be addressed and bidders may inspect the site and associated equipment. Quotations shall not be accepted from bidders who do not attend the mandatory site meeting. Bids shall not be accepted from bidders who arrive late at this site meeting or leave prior to the closing of the meeting. Location: 304 Baldwin Avenue, Cornwall, Ontario, K6H 4J5 Date and Time: October 22, 2018 – 1:30PM “SHARP” NOTE: SAFETY BOOTS, HARD HATS AND MINIMUM 3M 8210 N-95 DUST MASKS TO BE WORN WHEN ENTERING THE BUILDING. FURTHER TO THE MINIMUM, RESULTS FROM THE DESIGNATED SUBSTANCE REPORT (DSR) SUGGEST THE USE OF A HALF-FACE RESPIRATOR EQUIPPED WITH P-100 HIGH EFFICIENCY PARTICULATE AIR (HEPA) FILTRATION, A FULL TYVEK SUIT WITH HEAD COVERING, AND STEEL-TOED BOOTS WHEN ENTERING THE BUILDING. |
